Short answer: ALL AGES!

We have music programs on a variety of instruments for students of all ages, from toddler to adult.

You can find an overview of our programs in the “Programs” tab in our website header.

YES! We LOVE teaching adults, whether you’re a beginner or simply coming off a break!

Fresh beginner? Check out our Adult Piano Crash Course, where you can learn everything you need to get started on your musical journey.

Busy adult and need a flexible offering? Ask us about our Adult Piano Program, which offers monthly private lessons alongside weekly group lab classes you can schedule as needed.

Did you take lessons while growing up but had to stop when life happened? (Trust us, we know how wild life can get!) Reach out about private lessons. We’ll work with you to get you playing your favorite pieces in no time!

Lessons are held in our studio space, which is currently at Wesley Methodist Church (in the Asian District). We have four rooms set up for lessons, including the use of their beautiful grand piano.

Lessons range in length depending on the experience level and age of the student, as well as what program they want to enroll in.

In general, all classes are anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Reach out to let us know what you are looking for and we’ll pair you with a program to help reach your goals!

YES!

Students enrolled in our Beginner Piano Program are encouraged to have a digital piano or keyboard that works with our program.

Students enrolled in private piano lessons must have a keyboard or piano at home. It does not need to be a Steinway, but it needs to have 88 keys and a sustain pedal.

If you really want to do a deep dive, here’s a link to a comprehensive guide to everything you could ever want to know about buying a piano

Students taking private lessons for other instruments (guitar, bass, violin, etc.) must have a correctly sized instrument in good condition.

Our teachers compiled a list of recommended instruments for all ages, skill levels and budgets. Reach out for suggestions!

If you’re unsure what to look for, we are happy to help answer any and all questions!

To succeed at piano, one must always start with foundational music theory and grow from there. For this reason, we do not explicitly teach students to play by ear (although most will pick this skill up over time).

The curriculum used depends on the student and the program they are enrolled in.

In addition, students must ENJOY the music they are playing. We have an extensive and variety-filled repertoire of music to share with our students.

For detailed pricing information, please reach out, and we’ll be happy to discuss your options.

Our pricing structure ensures our excellent teachers are compensated fairly, that the studio continues to grow and offer more opportunities, and that you or your child not only learn the basics of music but learn to love it as much as we do!

Our pricing also includes access to opportunities like performing with other musicians and recitals, easy scheduling and payment software, and more.

Our full payment policy can be found in our Policies & Expectations document, which you will have a chance to review and sign before you begin lessons with us.

Monthly payments are due before the 1st of each month. We accept online payments through our online management program, My Music Staff.
