Guitar lessons at Meg Wynne Music are for kids, teens, and adults. Some students dream of starting a band. Others want to play at church, accompany themselves while singing, or perform on stage. No matter your goal, we’ll help you get there step by step.
We welcome students on acoustic, electric, or classical guitar. Acoustic players often focus on strumming songs, fingerpicking, and folk styles. Electric guitar lessons focus on fun riffs and songs in styles like rock, pop, and jazz. Classical guitar students read music, build good technique, and make a warm, full sound. Lessons center on the music you love most, and each week you add new songs that keep you excited to play.
Each lesson gives you tools to grow as a musician:
Chords and Rhythm – Learn the building blocks that let you play thousands of songs.
Picking and Strumming – Explore different ways to create a strong, steady sound.
Reading Music and Tabs – Gain skills to keep learning on your own.
Style and Expression – Our teachers have experience in pop, classical, folk, rock and more. Find the style that feels most like you.
Our teachers have real experience. They’ve led worship, played in bands, studied classical music, and performed on stage. They give students easy practice habits that make progress steady and fun.
As you continue lessons, you’ll notice big changes:
Songs that once felt hard will soon feel easy.
You’ll move from simple chords to full arrangements.
Parents and friends will see more confidence and excitement in your music.
Many of our students:
Play in school talent shows and recitals.
Join worship teams or garage bands.
Accompany singers with guitar at recitals or family events.
Discover the joy of writing their own music.
The guitar also opens doors to collaboration. Students learn how to listen, blend, and support other musicians. Students learn to make music social and fun, whether strumming with a singer or trading riffs in a band.
